When was the last time you walked barefoot in the grass or on the beach?
There’s something special about this activity that goes way beyond the feeling of “ahhh” you get when you do it.
Many alternative health-care professionals proclaim the benefits of what they call earthing or grounding.
When you walk barefoot on natural earth, electrons flow up and into your body through the soles of your feet.
Connecting to the earth restores the body’s most favorable electrical state.
Earthing or grounding may reduce high blood pressure, high cortisol (stress hormone), and increase the frequency of a good night’s sleep.
It may help to prevent premature aging and act as an anti-inflammatory and energizer, too!
You might say the EARTH has the power to HEAL through the HEEL.
Take time (preferably 80 minutes or longer) each day to touch the earth.
