Words have the power to heal, motivate, inspire, and lift you into healthy transformation.
I see every relationship, even the ones that hurt me, as a gift.
Even the relationships that you wish didn’t happen, happened because through the experience you were made better and stronger. This is true even if better and stronger had to travel through the worst of times before reconciliation. The important thing is to see relationships of every kind for what they are—a gift—and inside the gift is the lesson. No matter how messy a relationship is wrapped, it’s still a gift.
I am in season. I am in full bloom. I AM beautiful.
Everything has a season. Even you. Even me. Seasons are constantly changing. One season evolves into another creating a transformation. You have a season. Live and love the season you’re in—even if it’s winter and all the trees are bare and there’s dirty, black snow piled up on the sides of every street you travel. You have a choice: Choose to LOVE the season you’re in. ***
I will manifest the BEST!
What does the word manifest mean to you? (No, it’s not a manicure festival, although that does sound like something I’d like to attend if one comes to town. Are you in?) The meaning of manifest is “to appear in visible form.” BELIEVE it or NOT you have the power to manifest—bring about, make real—what you want in your life. The secret to success? BELIEVE without the NOT.
I deserve to feel good about my accomplishments.
No matter how far you’ve come, you still bully yourself about all you’ve done that you’re not proud of, and you pester yourself about how far you have to go before you consider yourself a success. Stop that! It’s okay to be in achievement mode, but it’s not okay to take the accomplishments you’ve earned (big and small) for granted. If you do, you might as well kick dirt in your face and spit in your eye. Give ALL your accomplishments the CELEBRATION they deserve. This will create feel-good accomplishment endorphins and feel-good accomplishment endorphins are a good thing!
The creativity in me honors the creativity in you.
YOU have something in common with me. I have something in common with YOU. What do we have in common? CREATIVITY. You scoff and say, “Not me! I’m not the creative type.” Oh, but you are! YOU CREATE something in your life every day: Pleasure. Pain. Smiles. Tears. Good fortune. Hardship. (Cool it on the pain, tears, and hardship, would ya?) BOTTOM LINE: You create. You’re creative. You are a creator. Create something good.
It feels good to put my needs aside and help someone else.
One of the lessons you’re here to learn on this great big beautiful rock is the importance of helping and encouraging others. When your own needs feel unmet; however, your ability to meet the needs of others is more difficult. Even so, it’s worth the effort because many times the act of meeting someone else’s needs is the answer to meeting your own. (NEED…I’d like you to meet…NEED. I have a feeling this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.)
It’s the changes in my life that grow me into someone true.
It’s the truth-changes in your life (changes that happen because of exposed truth about yourself, a loved one, a friend, or a circumstance) that encourage GROWTH. The hard part about growth is that many times it comes with fear, but FEAR encourages faith, FAITH inspires power, and POWER invites change. (So put that in your pipe and smoke it. The truth is, it’s way better than that other stuff you’re smoking.) 🙂
The answers are in me.
Life’s got QUESTIONS. You’ve got ANSWERS. CLEAR your mind, TRUST your instincts, LISTEN to the innate wisdom of your inner voice. It knows. (Unless it’s telling you to do something illegal. Don’t listen to that voice!)
The energy of the earth heals me and keeps me grounded.
When was the last time you walked barefoot through the grass or on the beach? There’s something special about this activity and it’s not just that it feels good on tired feet. Many health professionals proclaim the benefits of touching the earth with bare feet. The earth’s energy is easily absorbed, especially through the soles of our feet. The process is commonly called earthing or grounding. It has to do with electrons that flow up from the earth and through our skin improving blood pressure, reducing the stress hormone cortisol, and assisting with a good night’s sleep. You might say the EARTH has the power to HEAL through the HEEL. Take a few moments each day to touch the earth. See how you feel and feel how you heal. (Get started today because earthing might even heal that ugly corn on your pinkie toe, who knows. It’s worth a try! Or, you could go to CVS Pharmacy and get one of those Dr. Scholls’ corn pads. Yeah, just do that instead. Save earthing for the big stuff like fixing that callous on your heart instead.)
I will make my decision and be confident in the outcome.
You’ve been struggling to make a decision. Should you do this? Should you do that? Or should you do this, that, and the other? You’ve debated the pros and cons with strangers on the street. You’ve asked your rich Aunt Zelda a zillion times. (If you ask her again, you’re out of the will.) You’ve dreamt about it. You’ve prayed about it. Now what? Today is the day to make a decision. Today is the day to be confident in it.
I recognize and carry with me my most cherished qualities: Creativity, Wisdom, Strength, Clarity, and Compassion.
Sometimes your best qualities sink below the surface of your awareness. They get lost—much like a guy in the women’s unmentionables department at Nordstrom. All they need is some direction to find their way back to consciousness. Once you re-unite with the qualities that make you unstoppable, that’s exactly what you’ll be—unstoppable, not unmentionable. What qualities will you recognize in yourself today? •
